Chanukah, the Festival of Latkes, I mean Lights, just ended.

Christmas, that merry, jingly, sometimes stress-inducing holiday is just days away.

I have family who celebrates each of them, so I get to enjoy both delectable latkes AND a stocking from Santa each year. Lucky me!

If you have a vegan or aspiring vegan in your life whose stocking needs to be filled (or if you want to treat your jolly self!), I have just the things.

I’m going to share with you my vegan stocking stuffer recommendations that will make anyone feel merry and bright!

These are truly five of my favorite goodies and products (I am not being paid to endorse them).

These inexpensive gems can be easily found (several of them in Whole Foods, Earthfare, and most natural food stores), so you can shop quick, kick back, and relax on Christmas Eve!

1. Crazy Rumors Lip Balm

These lip balms are vegan, cruelty-free, and come in all sorts of fun flavors.

Plus, they make your lips feel smooth and downright kissable (where’s that mistletoe?)!

My preferred flavor is Mocha from their “Perk” coffee collection, but they also have “Brew” tea flavors (like spiced chai and peppermint lemongrass), “Gum Ball” flavors (like berry bubble and bubble gum), “A La Mode” flavors (like mint chocolate and banana split), and Holiday flavors (like gingerbread and peppermint twist)!

Pick a couple of these little prizes up and drop them in everyone’s stocking, vegan or not!

2. Go Max Go Vegan Candy Bars

These candy bars are incredible vegan versions of all your childhood favorites, featuring everything from crunchy chocolate to ooey gooey caramel and nouget.

Go Max Go Vegan Candy BarsJokerz = Snickers

Twilight = Milky Way

Buccaneer = Three Musketeers

Mahalo (my favorite!) = Almond Joy

Cleo’s = Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

SNAP! = Crunch Bar

These are so lip-smackingly delicious, they’ll all be gone by Christmas afternoon. And you’ll need the aforementioned lip balm.

3. VegNews Magazine

Drop an issue of this fantastic, informational, and entertaining magazine in their stocking, and watch them as they shout it out with glee (whoopee)!

Filled with vegan recipes, news, and columns like “Veganize It!” and “Plant-Based Dietician,” this magazine all rolled up is the perfect stocking stuffer.

Splurge option: Go all out and get either a digital or print subscription ($20) for “whoopees!” all year long!

4. Starbucks Gift Card

A $5 Starbucks gift card treats its owner to a tall, soy milk mocha, no whipped cream (my top choice!).

Or, even better, find a local coffee shop that offers soy milk (most of them do these days, since vegan is becoming so mainstream!) and buy a gift card there.

5. Alternative Baking Company Cookie

These jumbo vegan cookies come in individual packages in flavors like Colossal Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Persuasion, and my very favorite, Luscious Lemon Poppyseed. They also have gluten free options.

You might even want to leave one of these out for Santa to get on his good side.

I hope these ideas help make your holiday even more sparkly and fabulous.

To all who celebrate, Merry Christmas!

And to all who don’t, Merry Chinese-Food-Eating!

To Veganized Holidays!

I highly recommend picking up a Tofurky instead of a turkey for Christmas dinner. It’s healthier for you and our planet, and the turkey will have a much more enjoyable holiday!
