I’ve always loved sweets.

Make sure to take care of your sweet teeth!

When I went vegan, that didn’t change.

My baking did though, thanks to some awesome vegan cookbooks.

The Joy of Vegan Baking by Colleen Patrick-Goudreau was the first vegan cook book I bought.

I then added Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World by Isa Chandra Moscowitz and Terry Hope Romero, and Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar, also by the aforementioned duo, to my collection.

With my new knowledge, I replaced eggs with flax seeds, or bananas, or egg replacer. I switched from cow’s milk to almond milk (you could use soy or rice or any number of the non-dairy milks out there). I used Earth Balance instead of butter.

My husband even got in on the vegan baking action and is now known by friends and family as the vegan cookie king.

I’m not disappointed when we go out either. We enjoy fabulous vegan desserts at restaurants, food trucks, and more. I’ll be posting those pictures in the near future.

Check out the pics below of some home-made vegan desserts, and be prepared for your sweet tooth attack when it hits!

These are my hubby’s famous chocolate chip cookies, accompanied by a tall glass of almond milk (in an Alabama cup -it’s where we went to school. Roll Tide!). The cookies have quite the following.

This is a margarita cupcake (from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World) that my hubby made for my birthday this year. It features tequila and lots of lime juice, with an adorable sugar rim!

A cookies ‘n’ cream vegan birthday cake – from “Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World.” It had crushed-up Oreos in the cake and frosting (yes, Oreos are vegan!)!

These are a gluten-free version of my hubby’s recipe for chocolate chip cookies.

Chocolate Fudgy Oatmeal Cookies. Serve with some cold almond milk and you’re set!

Home-made pumpkin pie brownie

No shortage of delicious home-made treats at this vegan house. Stay tuned for more delicious desserts in future posts.

To your vegan sweet tooth!
